EFLTHO – European Lean Healthcare 2008-2010

LERC is pleased to be associated with the EFTHO European Lean Healthcare Project.

The European Agency EACEA has funded an international collaborative project to research further into Lean Thinking in European Healthcare and subsequently develop a Masters in European Health Systems. The focus of this program is to evaluate the spread of Lean Thinking in Hospitals and develop a Masters in the application of Lean principles in European Health Systems.

The project is being delivered in collaboration with five partner countries, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, the United Kingdom and Greece. The partners consist of a University and a healthcare institution who participate in the shaping of the programme. In addition governmental departments have participated to enable a rounded view of healthcare in Europe and the different organisational structures which deliver health services to the population.
